Wojick is not a climate scientistWojick has been described as a journalist and policy analyst. According to a search of 22,000 academic journals, Wojick has not published any research in a peer-reviewed journal on the subject of climate change.
Wojick, Coal and Electricity
Between December 1998[1] and September 2001[2] he was listed as a "Scientific Adviser" to the Greening Earth Society, a group that was funded and controlled by the Western Fuels Association (WFA), an association of coal-burning utility companies. WFA founded the group in 1997, according to an archived version of its website, "as a vehicle for advocacy on climate change, the environmental impact of CO2, and fossil fuel use."[3]
In his role as a "policy analyst," Wojick's client list has included AES Corporation,one of the largest electrical generation companies, with much of that in the form of coal, and Allegheny Energy, a company that generates 95% of its power from coal. The Chief of Naval Research and Greening Earth Society were also listed as former clients.[4]
