Ideally, almost everything ought to be recycled rather than repurposed (including EV batteries). Once all our energy is from renewable energy, that will solve a lot of our problems.

Getting there will take decades. I hope we get there one day... ideally before we have completely ruined our little blue planet. It will require first and foremost acknowledgement that sustainability has to be the aim.
