    I came across this article by Jason Cartwright from TechAU about Chinese company Baidu's autonomous robotaxi:

    I could immediately pick on things that I dislike or which I see as issues of concern.

    However, I consider efforts such as this as early pioneering work. This is by no means perfect an mistakes will be made. However, the big picture is that it is yet another step towards more sustainable transportation and as such, I applaud the progress.

    With the inevitability of autonomous driving coming both to trucking and personal transport and the implications this will have on jobs in the transportation sector, I wonder what the policy response of governments around the world will be. Some will have planned ahead, some will not even be aware of what is coming...
