Cold showers may be the least of their problems. German industry is reliant on gas and self sanctions (own goals) will add to unemployment (even ignoring the current global recession). The return to coal will help (s'pose climate change can wait) but is not interchangeable for gas over the short term. It is admirable and sad that they persist. The question is how long will their public accept the slow motion train wreck.
