Sailor I think you will find that Small Modular Reactors (300MWe?) might be the way to go. Quicker/cheaper/safer and provide that backup for ze renewables which will never provide 100% to the grid in spite of what some nuts intimate.

But be interesting to see where the pollies go with so much strife in the world from jumping on board the renewables!
