For those that don't know what a timing belt does.....it opens and closes the inlet and exhaust valves in time with piston movements.
Its not the timing belt that is expensive to replace ...its the damage done to the motor when the valves stop but the pistons keep moving.
Full motor rebuild....about the same as replacing a battery in an e.v.
