Huge amounts of land and a relatively small population. We have some of the best wind sites in the world and we are very well positioned for solar generation. So, the argument about renewables taking up space is pretty silly. Particularly when solar is put on existing structures or on marginal land. Then of course there's wind turbines that are on working agricultural properties taking up tiny amounts of farmland and providing alternative incomes for farmers. And let's not forget about offshore wind . Who's land are they taking up ? So, renewables, especially in Australia, makes nuclear power ridiculously expensive. Maybe you've been asleep for the last the years ? Power prices are through the roof. It's a huge issue right around the world and you are suggesting that we go with an even more expensive power source ????????? Baseload coal is going broke because it can't compete with renewables. But you want to build nuclear that will go broke even quicker ? Environmental damage from renewables ?? Says who ? I note you've offered no actual proof to back that whopper. It is the renewable energy industry that is engineering recycling in at the front end. Finding solutions which spill into other industries. Creating jobs along the way. You're talking about the environment while championing a system that creates toxic waste that last for thousands of years ?????????? Btw. We are electrifying the world to get off fossil fuel. Even if we replaced coal with nuclear , we still need to mine for the electrification of everything. That means mining for evs, batteries, heat pumps, industrial heating etc. Now you're against mining it seems ? Except for uranium of course. That's hilarious . " just plug it into the existing system. " Clearly you are living in denial or you simply don't understand the electricity grid system if you think that would work.

Acorn, the presenter David Osborn plans to run a simulation of Nuclear, he said so in the clip you are endorsing, why do you think that is? He hasn’t ruled it out like you. GT
