The manipulation of taxes and the handouts of incentives to generate the continuation of Transition attempts to disconnect from fossil fuels is an abomination that does nothing to lift the most vulnerable people out of poverty or to reduce their chances of survival inclement weather events.
It is in fact an opportunity to put more people into that position.
The money spend that we’ve seen on this War on Climate is astronomical and yet we are still nowhere near being capable of reducing our fossil fuel consumption, we have not even had a single year where our usage has even dropped (globally).
That same dollar spend on reducing poverty, improving ammenities in the poor sections of the world would have been more beneficial to humanity but obviously, much less beneficial to the bottom line of the global philanthropic types and the multinational corporations.
