    You manage to highlight the problem, but this thread is mostly concerned with discussing the solutions.

    Man made climate change means that fossil fuels must be phased out asap.

    The question is what solution you propose for SA to decrease its dependance on gas at 9:50pm on a cold winter's evening.

    The way i look at this is by considering what S.A generation looked like at 12:05pm on 11 October 2020, when Solar for the first time produced more than 100% of South Australia's electricity...

    I think your chart highlights the challenge that we still face, while mine provides hope for the future.

    Each chart is for only a point in time and thus fairly meaningless without context. I believe the below chart is more meaningful, as it highlights how the energy mix is changing over time. My apologies for the data only going up to 2018:

    Coal is history and gas is declining.

    The only real challenge is how to accelerate the necessary change to Solar, Wind and appropriate storage solutions.
