    1. How long will it take to get the legislationchanged ? Especially as the feds are dead against it. As long as it takes for people to finally realize that providing100% renewable base load power isn’t possible and accept a grid with 100% renewables will need to be at least twice aslong as one that relies on nuclear energy. That means, if we use 100%renewables to try to achieve decarbonization we will be doubling the mostexpensive part of our energy costs.

    2. After that long process, how long will it taketo establish a nuclear support industry ? How much will that cost ? Not nearly as long or costly as all that finite renewablemining

    3. After spending a huge amount of money andwasting years if not decades, how long will it take to build one nuclear powerstation? It takes on average five to seven years to build a large nuclear unit in the OECD

    4. How much will that power station cost ? Costs between 5 to 6 billionUS dollars to build a power plant in the OECD

    5. How will that power station not go broke tryingto compete against much cheaper renewables and storage ? Nuclear power is cost competitivewith other forms of electricity generation, except where there is direct accessto low-cost fossil fuels

    6. In the decades that we wait for nuclear power,we will have to build new coal as our existing fleet is at the end of it's life. What do we do about the 20 years of extra emissions ? What do theenvironmentalists say about that ? It takes on average fiveto seven years to build a large nuclear unit so that’s not anissue

    7. Which city or state in Australia will host anuclear power station ? We could build large 1 GW scaleNuclear power plants that are best built with multiple reactors at each site and theuse of small nuclear power plants would provide far more site and will enablethe use of the 275kV lines in South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.

8, Where will the cooling water come from for thatpower station ? Australia’s long coastlines provide many options forlocating nuclear power plants and endless water options, as was done with the Qinshan Power plant in China

    9. What will we do with the waste ? Wallerberdina Station or Kimba

    10. Who will pay for the security of the wastestorage for a couple of thousand years ? A companybased in Texas is the only one across 29 states who takes certain low-levelwaste from nearly 100 nuclear reactors, making an annual revenue of around $15billion
