    There are so many things happening at the moment in relation to the transition towards sustainable energy, it is difficult to keep track of it all.

    The following three articles show both the progress being made and the roadblocks thrown in the path of renewable energy in Australia.

    First the good news:

    Unfortunately, this article is behind a pay wall ( my apologies). It discusses the regulatory change for electricity retailers having to upgrade their infrastructure so they can settle energy contracts at 5 minute intervals instead of the previous 30 minute interval. This is about getting ready for the future.

    No doubt, in future years, the above will be used as a classic case study, to illustrate how industry can use regulatory capture to frustrate progress.
