Acorn, if i'm reading your post correctly the more than 75% being generated from renewable sources on an annual basis is 75% of demand that isn't being generated by burning the highly polluting, toxic and finite fossil fuels coal and gas.

Great stuff. The transition in SA is clearly well advanced.

now, about that 112%. Can i assume excess power is either being exported to the national grid or used to top up batteries. The cost of power for this is cheap and the batteries can be tapped later, say during an evening demand peak, and moderate prices then.

no wonder battery owners are reporting how easy such a system operates. It's money for jam and they're laughing all the way to the bank and their investor owners for more funding.

their story couldn't be more different than from developers of nuclear generators. All they report is their project took twice as long and cost twice as much.

it's a wonder proponents of nuclear, victims one and all suckered totally by the industry, can't log this or the over-riding reality about nuclear: it can't compete on price with solar.

these knuckle-dragging neanderthals, such as muudy and zippy, are so desperate they think salvation comes from something that doesn't exist yet - SMRs.
