UK gears up to test wind 'super turbines' that could hit 28MW
The UK government is putting £86m ($108m) in funding towards test facilities for offshore wind “super turbines” that could one day hit 28MW capacity – enough for each to power a small town.
“Ambitious plans to keep the UK at the forefront of technology development in offshore wind have been given the green light,” the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult said today.
