Other than the original quoted article from Bioworld and Recce announcing that it is targeting the Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria Biopharmaceutical Accelerator (CARB-X) global initiative, which is offering a $1 billion reward for each new antibiotic approved, as well as increased R&D funding, I found the following articles and websites that mention these sort of rewards, there is also the Billions of potential revenue for any company that gets a new superbug antibiotic approved.
