I must admit I'm feeling like a kid approaching xmas with this one, I cannot see how it could be anything other than positive news (naturally this is based on hope not actual facts). I'm hoping that the FDA fast tracks this by allowing it to skip some of the trials and go straight to market, this seems to be the case with some drugs that treat life threatening conditions, they reference this on there website in relation to some HIV drugs. I think the concern with superbugs is this is something that could get out of control faster than could be possibly imagined so I would not be surprised if trials are fast tracked or possibly skipped if the data the RCE have is compelling enough.
