Not sure about my reasoning, but if you study the drill holes on their website, two holes have already penetrated the basal untramafic with no sulphides found. The part about intersecting disseminated sulphides was previously announced.
Seems now they are targeting the basement gneiss in the parallel strike to the south of the inco zone for the sulphides. This was where they originally hoped to find them, but for some reason they stopped drilling on contact with the basement gneiss. No idea why apart from the fact it can be hard going and perhaps the rig was struggling to penetrate it. Or then again studies of other sulphide strikes may have identified granite gneiss as a possible target.
Like you say, they have a habit of telling you heaps whilst telling you nothing!
