Ask around locally. Someone will know a 'retired' accountant that will not be charging tax specialist rates for a junior's job. A friend's father (ex corporate CFO in his late 60's) used to do it for the social contact & to keep his brain active & charged a fixed fee that he negotiated after he did the first return. Was typically a couple of $100 (or a couple of bottles of good scotch) for a trader (no hourly rate in acknowledgement of slowing down)
