in another lifetime I was occasionally asked to investigate transactions that appeared to be fraudulent in nature. The police would rely upon evidence gathered , forward to dpp , to make a decision whether criminal charges would be laid.

I expect the same is today - that the "victim" has to do the hard work to determine whether there is a crime committed.

In the case if both MIN and less so with WTC the noise from the company is all about governance , repayment and nothing to do with possible criminality.

So , it does not surprise me that ASIC feels it has to get involved with MIN as the Board seemed somewhat frozen.

I will not be surprised if ultimately ASIC takes the same view ( and actions if any ) against directors of both companies and particularly the antagonists.

When things are going rosy it is human nature to place less emphasis on possible problems.

Now , the actions has caused the market to look more closely at "whole of business". It does not surprise me the drop in sp , and it wont surprise me if it does not recover for a very long time.

Those that have been invested in WTC for years are still well in the green but those that have bought the past 6 months will feel quite aggrieved.

I wont be surprised if an ambulance chaser appears.
