When gas comes from a well CO2 comes with it and STO is in process of re injecting / sequestering that back into well rather than release to atmosphere . Still not proven at scale but hopefully it will be accepted to make gas a lower overall emitter and STO actually having a business of sequestering other companies CO2. It all comes at a cost and unless governments make a level energy playing field by allowing all energy sources actually supply rather than excluding some from grants etc within Australia then Australians will lose the advantage of a cheap industrial scale energy source with infrastructure in place to use as transition while so called green energy and storage get their economics and reality of capacity sorted, Industry needs time to justify existing capital assets and any new expenditure on electricity based boilers, smelters etc etc assuming it is possible in sale of Australia to continue those industries. Meanwhile due to policy and insecurity of future processing, manufacturing and small industry all heading or contracting overseas rather reinvest in Australia and moving to countries we supply our gas to? crazy .
