When I spoke with NEN on this I was quite particular on the gas component and it was confirmed that each gas show through the zones contained hydrocarbon bearing gas. Of course I accept that as a % there may be CO2.
Put this with the comment by Ya and I hate re the theory of side drilling. Why would you do it if the CO2 level is high.
