MLX is my most favoured stock at the moment for capital growth outlook. They have threaded the needle through the small eye and avoided calamity. A lot that has went 'wrong' at MLX I put down to risk appetite from the board and long term/vs short term planning. Long term they seem to have a great strategy, but it went challenged due to poor budgeting and planning and weak commodity prices. Now with copper prices set to rebound next year and beyond with continued demand growth (not to mention other assets), so long as there are no more hick-ups I see great potential for the next few years. Really lucked the board didn't get rinsed - it was a close call. I was in two minds but I think the best option was chosen.
