re: tomorrow never comes.... Problems appear when our time-lines differ from that of the company...
MRC is a long term investment...unfortunately however, the company has attracted many short term traders to the stock with all this talk of an "energy deal".
In effect, by announcing that they were looking at the deal in the first place, the directors had decided to turn up the heat on "MRC". Perhaps they were hoping that, by attracting traders from the highly speculative end of the market, they might be able to stick a rocket under the shareprice prior to the options expiry.
Problem is, they haven't followed through with any announcements even remotely interesting for this kind of investor/trader, which has resulted in many of them simply leaving the stock through shear boredom.
In my opinion, MRC is looking pretty stupid over this so called "energy deal" and if they don't update the market pretty soon, will start to lose some of their long term suppoters as well.
It is starting to look like this deal never really existed in the first place!
Cheers!
