From my understand a BOT is computer system that automatically buys or sells shares depending on how the programmer has written the program. They could write the program to buy, sell or hold. For example they may have it automatically sell their shares after they make a certain profit of sell them before they hit a certian loss, the only person who knows how it works is the person who actually wrote the program as it is based on their criteria.
