the real disaster, for me, is that when i bought in big time - it was on the basis that the company was cheap, and was operating profitably with the engineering business. they also had woodlark island - which has since become a million oz deposit. the engineering business would have done well in the last couple of years - but that had been sold of. funny - all of the disposals, of the good parts, were "highlights" - and the new core business - well it looks like they might even have problems owning the stuff.
