Doctors can only be successfully sued if negligent.
Say ResApp is 98% accurate for pneumonia. Then out of every 100 results, 2 could be wrong.
Out of every 1,000,000 results, 2000 could be wrong. Some of these would have serious consequences.
That's why it should be a doctor who makes the diagnosis, just as happens now with chest X-ray.
ResApp will be a far superior diagnostic tool, but not infallible.
The doctor weighs all signs symptoms and history, and must bear in mind the possibility of error.
I suppose every ResApp result will come with a caution that the algorithm is only 98% accurate - or 99%, or 99.5%, or whatever % it finally ends up being.
