Yes. Police and teachers are stood down on a mere accusation. Should politicians also be stood down?

What happens to their parliamentary vote? Should they be paid while stood down?

The investigation, court case and appeal might take many years. Or it might not be held at all.

When should they be allowed back?

In my view no one should be punished for a mere allegation. It is too easy to throw mud.
