I asked the CFO if he could elaborate on the point on slide 43 (see below) next to BEN_0805 i.e., "Facilitate fusion between viral and cell membranes" and patents. Here are his replies...

The peptide resembles a virulence factor found in SIV, which fuses the virus to the cell membrane as means to penetrate the cell. Hence, the BEN_0805 peptide could do the same with a therapeutic cargo.
I don't have a figure for the number of patented Phylomers. You can look at the patent that contains the CPPs discovered in the Roche collaboration. The International PCT application number is PCT/AU2012/000579. It's based on a US priority filing, number USSN61/489198, filed on 23 May 2011. You can download for free from www.PatentLens.net
