    Even though it has been patiently explained many times in this forum, some people don't realise the "less alkaline" and "more acid" mean exactly the same thing when a discussion is about pH.

    Once more we see the spectre of carbon "not being a pollutant".

    Like every other chemical substance you can imagine, Carbon is a pollutant when it is in excess. Right now it is in excess in both the oceans and in the atmosphere because we humans are burning too much fossil fuels.
