My guess for WHC outperformance relative to NHC, is:
WHC is being more aggressive with buy back (i.e. trying to support the price) whereas NHC is being more subtle and trying to buyback the shares cheap.
If I am correct, then:
- WHC's strategy is better for those trying to exit, managers with performance options, and the impaitient.
- NHC strategy is better for medium to long term holders, the paitent, and those who prefer dividends.
