    First:

I have been watching people's comments on diversification on this thread - whilst my portfolio % holding of ACX is my business only, I am more aligned to Buffett's view expressed in this quote:

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett famously stated that "diversification is protection against ignorance. It makes little sense if you know what you are doing."

In Buffet's view, studying one or two industries in great depth, learning their ins and outs, and using that knowledge to profit on those industries is more lucrative than spreading a portfolio across a broad array of sectors so that gains from certain sectors offset losses from others.

    Second:

ACX's leadership position is moving even further ahead of its industry competitors who would be very difficult to spot in the ACX rear-view mirror now. They have just announced the following:

Aconex Creates the Global Industry Council (GIC) to Drive E&C Innovation and Digitisation Including Leaders From AECOM, Bechtel, Fluor, John Holland and Lendlease

One of the GIC’s first tasks was to identify the major roadblocks to wider technology adoption in the sector and to facilitate more rapid digital investment, automation of business processes and integration of information and communication technology. Together with Aconex and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), GIC members have dedicated significant time and resources to generate the report, “Digital Technology: The Key to Unlocking Construction’s Potential”.

“Many construction companies in this industry struggle to consolidate fragmented platforms, standardise processes or develop savvy digital talent,” said Leigh Jasper, CEO of Aconex. “The aim of the report is to unlock the challenges to accelerated digitisation across the industry. It’s a practical guide for asset owners, EPCs and contractors to help innovate and improve performance, and address the transformation taking place across the asset life cycle.”
Key findings of the report will be discussed for the first time at the second annual Construction Technology Summit on October 25, 2017, in Melbourne with GIC member Ms. Nelson from Lendlease leading the discussion. The one-day event, hosted by Aconex and the Victorian Government, will connect Australia’s leading contractors, developers, and consultants with the nation’s savviest digital innovators. More than 350 delegates are expected to attend.
