The following few points stick out to me:

1. Unihold is a private investment firm. It will be interesting to see if they become a holder of conti stock as part of this acquisition.

2. "Mashala Resources, led by Johan Heystek, a former vice-president of operations at BHP Billiton's coal operation in South Africa."

The BHP connection - no doubt Don would have been well aware of the deal and perhaps even essential to it occurring. Bodes very well for the future imo.

3. "It's also targeting that by 2012 it will be able to deliver around R670m in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation."

That's about $100M AUD. Interesting that would roughly double domum's previous revenue forecast which was based on conti's expansion plans prior to this acquisition - and to do so conti didn't have to double the size of the register.
