With Telstra and EBOS backing behind these two providers if either wanted growth through acquisition the funding would be a non issue. EBOS/Symbions product Minfos only has about 1000 pharmacy clients and I would think Simple Retail would be an obvious target for them too.

I doubt a takeover of Corum would be very easy given Bill Paterson's controlling interest. Any offers would have to be high enough to convince him that it is time to sell. At the present time he seems very intent on building Corum's financial strength, reputation and getting an efficient operation and innovative group of personnel in place.

We will just have to wait and see if we see any rationalisation occur.
