Hi, JB Hifi today announced the acquisition of e&s : "premium offering across kitchen, laundry and bathroom products". I wonder if this business is comparable to KWB. My understanding is that KWB is doing whole kitchens, while e&s seems more focused on specific products to integrate in a kitchen in particular.
Anyway, some interesting comparisons between the 2 companies : - e&s has an EBITDA margin of only 3 % vs 20 %+ for KWB, - e&s and KWB are selling only via showrooms, which limits their inventory risk, - the 2 companies are now in different geographic areas : e&s almost exclusively in Victoria (10 showrooms there + 1 to open in ACT) while KWB 25 showrooms are across QLD, NSW and SA.
