Just a general response to recent comments above. I sent my SPP contribution at 1.5c to CML and was happy to have it returned given the market had turned. Of course the Board could have decided to keep the cash and that would only have P'd off their loyal shareholders - so good on them. I did not call up the Company, but a friend who also sent their $30K did and was told they had got enough cash in but had instructed Link to return it. Who knows maybe once Quebec (Canada) is open for exploration, the SPP will be re-issued. If so I will again send my money. Gold stocks are running at present and the old Lorraine reports certainly contain exceptional grades at depth. Many explorers revisiting old mines have done wonderfully out of it - and of course that means the shareholders benefit. I am happy to take a punt.
Looking at the latest Top 20, I cannot see how a takeover can be successful at these levels. Capital raisings were at 3.5c (admittedly the original shareholders got a 5c per share cash return), but I expect the bulk of the Top 20 will be seeking an increased return for control??
What interests me on these forums is how many scribes with no shares are trying to give those of us with shares advise as to what we should do. I for one do not take investment advise from a known source, why would I waste time on a nameless self-proclaimed 'expert' and why do they have such a keen interest in advising me about pending doom. Lighten up and do something real and useful with your time rather would be my advise.
