Not that I could see. EVN's natural advantage would be the ability to apply capital investment and a reserve pool of manpower and expertise to existing projects that are under utilised due to the holding company's size and money constraints. Given that each of NST's and EVN's mines are each an almost seperate entity within each business and are already run as cost efficiently as praticable, the only benefit would be cost savings from corporate redundancies. The logistics, risk and costs of a merger would outweigh any benefits.
