Ha Jukes. I thought I had a clue about the expectations as well but now I'm not sure what the hell I know - and I dont have time at the moment to wade through old articles and announcements looking for hidden bits of info amongst the sales pitch.
But in a nutshell - off the top of my head, I assume the biggest assumption is that it will work across variable environmental/wave conditions to generate 100kw in an average 2m wave. At an average 4m or so you get 180kw and anything past that is "shed" to protect the unit.
The real set of assumptions/calculations that I'd like to know is what size of federal govt grant is needed to make the above assumptions economical enough at the Garden Island site to proceed with a 2-5MW wave farm.
