Someone pushed/pushing the SP down for a low ball takeover offer, making the suggestion of the premium of the offer compared to the recent SP.... brings me back to the UMC days...
or
An insto holding down the price and putting the Co under duress to gain access to a swag of cheap shares, the big bad insto "give us cheap shares or we shall destroy your SP further...
