One of the benefits of retirement is the ability to sell his current shares as a private investor, with no reporting obligations, he can do as he pleases without public scrutiny. Only those able to access a current top 20 register will stay informed.
Currently as a director any purchases or sales have to be notified to the market. If he were to be purchasing or selling now, the market would know, and most likely be influenced.
