The guy who you had inferred had a problem with 88 energy because he sold down some of his personal shares. It would appear quite the opposite. Having been a part of the capital raise and as you put it the guy who's company is to receive 'a sweetener' from 88 energy. It would suggest that he is still committed to 88 Energy's future success.
