Ramu review delayed

THE much awaited review of the Ramu nickel-cobalt project memorandum of agreement has been delayed to allow PNG landowners time to understand the work done by developer China Metallurgical Construction Group, reported local newspaper Post-Courier.

PNG Mining Minister Sam Akoitai has warned that plans for the Freida gold prospect in East Sepik will need to be carefully thought out before the Government awards a mining lease for it.
