"The J-50 well completed the maximum 3 month production test period permitted under the
regulations on 31 August 2010 and the well was shut in at this time. The Company is now in the
process of applying for a Trial Production Licence (TPL) for J-50; this is expected to take several
months and involves the preparation and submission of studies to the Government authorities to
process the TPL application"

Several months???

Usually JPR like to be optomistic and say "shortly" or "early November" and then it drags on. If "several months" drags on, it could be a year.

Its disappointing to be shut in all that time.

I would think the Kazakhs would atleast allow domestic sales in mean time.

Is it even a certainty to be approved? What are the requirements? Perhaps management need a payrise to motivate them...
