Hello Robbo, The landholder only owns or has rights to 2 m under surface. Below that is owned by the Crown which then requires a mining licence from the Crown. A mining company alongside the objector can tunnel down and under thereby not requiring the land holders access permission and can then mine under her property. Example being North Park Gold Mine mines under arable land and not disturbing the environment or activity above it. That is how it was explained to me. Please all do your own research. The 250 acres is only a narrow strip of land and this would be easily achievable with modern mining equipment. Are their any mining engineers on here to comment please ?
