Sipa astutely lodged new tenement applications over the eastern continuation of the Jenkin fault zone, including the Johnson's Cairn gold-copper prospect, as soon as the first SFR announcement came out. This was back in April or May from memory, certainly before the June quarter.

At the moment these are just tenement applications, so no work can be done on the ground (aerial surveys can be carried out, but the expense cannot be counted against the temenents' expenditure commitments once/if they are eventually granted).

It then takes time for the applications to be reviewed and granted (or refused, in rare cases). It has taken six months so far and still they remain applications. The process can be held up by native title considerations, objections by other interested parties, etc. and may take a long time, or it can sometimes be surprisingly rapid (eg. if the ground has already passed thorugh the native title process - my last EL application was granted in 2 months!)

Much of the ground that Sipa has applied for had been vacant for a long time, and may not yet have had native title clearance, so it could be a few months yet. This won't stop them flying the initial EM survey as soon as they get the money from the funding partner though, which will still enable them to define geopysical drilling targets for the May-Oct 2010 field season.
