    Always good to have the opinions of others and thank you for that.

    My thoughts are that G8 have already had a look at the percentage of families who will be negatively impacted by the activity test, and the centres and locations they service. Gary Carrolls' statement that future acquisitions will be focusing on metropolitan areas, would indicate a push towards services catering for two parent working families.

    If, that is the case and acquisitions are within city centres, you would assume or hope that they would be looking at the possibility of 'employer sponsored places', no priority of access requirement and confirmed occupancy. High occupancy is a key indicator of both strong education and care programmes and of course that turns into profit making happy shareholders. Improving occupancy levels is imperative.

    The continual mentioning of 'six hourly sessions' by Simon Birmingham, has created a few concerns, but the fact is we have not yet been privy to the scaling or details of either the activity test or the subsidy. Further details are to be released over the coming weeks.
