There is no fear of G8 ever adopting Goodstarts' model, Goodstart are a 'not for profit organisation' . Gary Carroll and Chris Scott would be shuddering at the thought of that.
"G8 has the financial muscle now to do whatever that's necessary to win in the marketplace" they now have the finances to fund acquisitions, but financial muscle does not improve occupancy in centres.
Gary Carroll knows there is an occupancy issue, but I do think he is working with others on finding solutions. The investor presentation, strategic framework mentions: retaining existing families, reduce centre turnover, improving family engagement, growing family base, increasing yields from existing assets, profitability grow our centre network, attract new families to existing centres and generate profitable revenue streams from existing assets. No financial muscle needed for any of that.
