Look, you do have a point in that occupancy could (I’m just saying could, at this stage) become a problem if it is not addressed appropriately.
I also agree that
1) Occupancy figures should be reported in a more consistent way and
2) In order to be fully on top of this issue, Management do need to build some “soft skills” that go beyond the sheer business-related aspects of what they do, given the sector they operate in.
Other than that, I personally find their reporting standards satisfactory; perhaps not ideal, but good enough to allow an investor with moderate accounting knowledge to reconcile their financial statements without too much trouble.
Which, in comparison with many other companies listed on the ASX, is something I do quite appreciate (in other words, believe me, it can be a lot worse…)
