IMO the improved activity test will have a minimal effect on improving occupancy levels.
We still have not been privy to the finer details of the activity test.
Will a $30, weekly reduction in fees see families purchasing extra days in early education?
Is there enough of a reduction to encourage workforce participation?
The "sessions" and the "flexible hours" mentioned will they apply to those only entitled to twelve hours?
Implemented July 2018.
All centres, have from now until July next year to educate parents on the benefits of early education, hopefully this will encourage parents to increase their child's days of attendance. G8 would benefit greatly from both local community involvement and staff networking with other professionals within that community, again a positive towards increasing occupancy.
We should have more details regarding the activity test in May.
