a little story about smelting in Tasmania 600 cells each one is 6.5 to 7.5 volts i think. but 87000 amps each this is what you need to make alloy i did my time with Comalco.
Comalco uses %33 of tasmainas power.
would have to be a big UCG site DEX.but with big savings in power gen and a few tricks with co2 sold to the oil companys.co2 tax wouldnt hurt them then.may be in 20 yrs.
