    Here's an update.

Perhaps Sal hasn’t considered the issue of scale. By Seven's calculations, the 600 gigalitres spilling from Warragamba Dam is equal to Sydney’s usual water use in an entire year.

Which means that even if every Sydney resident showered for two hours at least four times daily, in the manner of a Covid-paranoid Karen after seeing an unmasked person, it wouldn’t make any difference.

The Minister for Western Sydney has dismissed ACTU Secretary Sally McManus’ flood mitigation suggestion as “farcical”.

In relation to Warragamba Dam spilling, Ms McManus tweeted “why doesn’t Syd Water suspend billing and ask people to turn on all their taps to take it down a bit”.

Stuart Ayres told Ben Fordham “it’s an inappropriate thing to reference”.

“I genuinely thought someone was having a joke.

“The idea that Sydney could lower the dam just by turning on the water is a pretty farcical proposition, not to mention it would probably completely destroy our stormwater and drain water systems across the city.” Thursday Noticeboard | Daily Telegraph

Dopey Sally has since removed her tweet, you might want to do the same with your post.biggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.png
