In general I agree with the guy buy turn around stocks , or undervalued stocks that are being re-rated with cash and low debts.
What I do not like he has made a mistake with the mining services companies and will not admit it. He is holding on if the bull run is in full swing, which is not good. Justification to hold on by past success also not good.
Yes like everyone else I would have expected CDM to have been better managed in this period of volatility. Do not expect superior returns but not freefall! Strategic mistake with this new fund, at frist should have been incorporated in the existing fund and then branch out. Learning experience we all made mistakes despite the success of the past
